That's All I Want
Tie me down,
hold me in your arms,
protect me from myself,
protect me from harm.
That's all I want,
and you're all I need,
without you I can't seem to breath.
I never wanted this obsession,
never wanted you in my life,
but not having you cuts me like a knife.
If I could I'd live without you,
pretend you didn't exist,
but I can't lie to myself.
Not after having known what you do to me.
My mind tells me to let go,
but my heart refuses to be set free.
Tie me down,
hold me in your arms,
protect me from myself,
protect me from harm.
That's all I want,
and you're all I need,
without you I can't seem to breath.
The air's a little thinner,
but life goes on without you in it.
Every now and then, I catch my breath and sigh.
Why'd you hurt me so?
Why'd you have to lie?
I walk down the street and wonder,
if he'll be the next man I meet?
The one to make things right?
The one to set my heart free?
The one to tie me down
and to hold me in his arms,
to protect me from myself,
to protect me from harm.
That's all I want,
he'll be all I need,
but now I know,
without you,
I'll be able to breath.
